Robert Kirkman’s The Ending to AMC’s The Walking Dead

AMC The Walking Dead Finale

Robert Kirkman is a pretty classy individual whom wrote a comic novel that interconnected deep human behavioral and psychosocial dynamics within an ever growing post-apocalyptic world. He never intentionally planned for such a progression of characters as he never imagined just how popular his comic would become. After upwards of 32 million fans and 5 beautifully written episodes, Kirkman, has come up with an idea of how the television series would finally come to a screeching halt. Kirkman, whom is playing a chess match (far ahead of everyone else)… with himself, is going after an idea that for some reason has eluded many others.

For example, the classic George Romero zombie movies like Night of the Living Dead never really answer the age old post-apocalyptic question. What happens after? Like in George Romero and other zombified movies, there seems to never fully be an answer. It is more of a cop out to say the least. Many other movies including Zombieland (not the greatest example) and Dawn of the Dead leave the audience reeling. Robert Kirkman wants to change this as he stated,

“The goal… I hope ‘The Walking Dead’ goes on long enough that at the end, everyone is like, ‘Good thing we took care of those zombies!”

Although this is something no real director or writer has overcome or tried to present to its viewers, Kirkman explained that above all else, The Walking Dead is about overcoming these insurmountable odds. While the television show is not coming to an end any time soon as execs have made it clear that this series will run for 50 seasons, the result thought process must be made.

When I write articles about The Walking Dead (as horribly written as they sometimes may be), I look into the psychosocial and human behavioralistic aspects of the show. Human behavior and personality bleeds differently. It bleeds even more so differently in an animalistic sense, when Darwinism (Survival of the Fittest) plays a role. This television series is being begged to be viewed in this light. It might force us to look deep within ourselves and help determine just what type of personality I am. How can I best help the initiative? In any regard, Robert Kirkman finishes by saying,

“People talk about how ‘The Walking Dead’ is bleak, and if you take a certain cross-section of the story, then yeah. Horrible. People have their loved ones eaten and they have a horrible time. But I see the story from beginning to end, over many many years about humanity overcoming this insurmountable apocalyptic situation.”

The Walking Dead Season 6 starts in mid-October with no ending in sight.

The Unbelievable Trailer Release of Season 6 of the Walking Dead

While Season 6 of the Walking Dead doesn’t start until the infamous day of 11 October 2015, AMC has provided its viewers with a very very sumptuous and tasty morsal of video.

The television series re-opens its doors from the very last moments where it left off. And while previously there was much turbulence in trust in Rick and his group, now calm and reserved. Now, Morgan has something to say about it. For those of you who do not really remember Morgan, we found Morgan far ahead mentally and psychologically than Rick and the rest of the other group back in the 1st season. After the loss of his family, he basically went ape crap crazy.

Fortunately, we are re-engaged and connected back with a more patient and accepting Morgan, who understands just how difficult nows world is. Having Morgan as a bystander increases Ricks credibility. After what happened at the end of the last season, Deanna and the rest of the contained residence do not really have any resistence towards Rick and the group. They aren’t equipped yet for the realities of the outside world, which will inevitably spell bad things not only for them, but for Rick and the group.

This trailer amplifies this, and trust me when I say it might be one of the best trailers I have seen come out of AMC yet! Take a watch below.

Robert Kirkman Reveals Gruesome Details Around The Premiere of ‘Fear The Walking Dead’

With ‘The Walking Dead’ frenzy going on in the Apocalyptic universe, many questions have been raised about just how far this universe could actually go. Recently, Kirkman took a conference call with Fangoria, this last week. He was asked this very same question about the expansion of ‘the walking dead’ universe with limited event series. Robert Kirkman’s reply to the question was pretty simple and sweet, stating to paraphrase, that those ideas of short limited series are not off the table and could be done in the future, but are not currently being pursued. Kirkman wanted to focus on making the walking dead and fear the walking dead (which premieres in August) series the best series the writers could put out.

On this same conference call Kirkman revealed to the great people of Fangoria that Fear The Walking Dead would contain more chaos than the first season of the walking dead, which is pretty big news. Expect for quite the kickoff of the premiere of ‘Fear The Walking Dead.’

Many other sites promote the plot of the story and its sharp contrast to the walking dead. Fear the walking dead, unlike the walking dead, sprouts in the midst of the zombie apocalypse. The walking dead only arises in the apocalyptic aftermath, whereas, fear the walking dead steps right inside the epicenter of the zombie apocalypse as it is happening. This broadens the viewers understanding about the human condition in the center of an apocalyptic event both physically and mentally. How does social dynamics, human survival, and personality play a role in an apocalyptic event? Furthermore, how do different personalities cope with this type of situation both in a social and non-social setting. This is something ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ will be able to elaborate upon and if Kirkman and his writers have this type of psychological perspective, we all will be in for an unbelievable series.

Additionally, it has been revealed that unlike the Grimes family, the new family we are to follow including characters Madison and Alicia (played by Australian born actor Alycia Debnam-Carey; shown in the picture below)

fear the walking dead character alicia

will be setup up as a more dysfunctional family. This family forms as pieces of other families coming as one. Personalities and social cohesion will play out in unpredictable way as the apocalypse keeps throwing more and more at them.

With all this being released there need to be something on the walkers or zombies. Kirkman stated that the zombies would be much more fresh than the walking dead. Of course, seeing the walking dead zombies are now 3 to 4 years older. What we are curious to find out is just how fresh these zombies will be. Will they be zombies straight out of “Shawn of the dead” where they full on run (more of an aggressive disease type host) or zombies will walker (smybiotic relationship and brain function completely falls to the wayside). So there are many things to look forward to including survive situations. I for one am excited. How about you?

The Walking Dead Season 5 Episode 15 Sneak Peek And Thoughts

Episode 14 of the walking dead really took a turn. Many things culminated to an episode that shocked the television world. The problem is, it all could have been prevented. Rick and the group already pointed out that these people were weak. They were a danger to themselves and to others (the group). Going back to my original statement, the weakness we see; this naivety stems all the way back on Hershel’s farm. The innocence; the not wanting to kill the walkers… This new group of individuals haven’t really faced anything extremely difficult yet, so they have no idea how to react to anything in the proper manner. Will Rick treat them like Maggie and her father at the farm or not? They have been sheltered from the realities beyond the wall. In addition, it seems that this group within the enclosure use outsiders to do their bidding. Rick’s group seems to be doing all the heavy lifting, when in the end they are being used and exposed. Who are the real mathematicians here? Is Rick and the group really in full control? We all knew someone was going to die due to their negligence, but maybe that is what it takes for them to realize they cannot survive unless Rick and the group are completely in rule.

Furthermore, Gabriel shouldn’t come as a shock to the readers of the comic and the viewers of the television series. In fact, Gabriel has this false notion that he can somehow repent for his previous actions by trying to do something he finds good. Why the group finds the need to keep him around when he is constantly getting them in trouble is a mystery. Everything about the man screams false and dangerous, which includes his name.

On the contrary, it is weird though. We have become so numb and humanized towards Rick’s group that sometimes we sympathize their need to do things that might be a little egregious or unnecessary. Here is a question. How would you view Ricks group if the show originally followed the group of individuals within this enclosure? How would we really look at them? How would you look at Rick’s group? Would they be savages? Would you think they are too aggressive? In my minds eye, I believe they still rationally think and have experience. They aren’t running around doing what they will and acting on impulse… all the time.

We look back on all the people we come across and each one of them in a different situation with different experiences. Many of the things they did and impulses acted on were not the proper responses, but survival. Rick and the group share these experiences moving back and forth from crazy to sanity. The only one who hasn’t waivered too much has been Daryl… none of this really is a major change to him. The only one that properly stands the tests of this storyline is Daryl. Now, even he is being waivered which could lead to serious repercussions.

I seem to be spitting all over the page but this far into the show, we must kind of understand the symbolism of this new network of people. We are faced with individuals that are probably years away from where Rick’s group used to be… so how will it be dealt with? This is the major test of human morality. Or are these calculated risks this group is making? Things to think about.

Below the sneak peek of episode 15.

Sneak Peek of Episode 14 of The Walking Dead Season 5

Tonight’s episode of AMC’s the walking dead season 5 episode 13 brought up some very important things and more so really pursued Norman Reedus’ character, Daryl. As we have seen during the time he has been there, he has kept his distance. In fact, the only group he ever seemed to feel like himself was only with Rick. This sudden growth within Daryl in tonight’s episode has rocked the bed with me. It has placed me in an uneasiness because he is getting so comfortable, so fast. Something to think about.

Below is the sneak peek episode of episode 14. Enjoy!

“Weakness and Naivety Within the New Walls” of The Walking Dead & Sneak Peek 513

Rick feels extremely uneasy in this new enclosure. Should he be? Deanna made it clear that they were very inexperienced and they left their gates open. On several occasions viewers have seen the group be increasingly naive making it clear that they cannot be trusted. What seems to be uniform across the ‘family’ is the “weakness” and more importantly, “naivety.” Episode 12 reminds viewers where Rick and the group were not so long ago. What they had to find out the hard way. And it seems that maybe this new group might also have to find out the hard way. Rick, Carl, Glenn and others are now finally seeing the weakness. These people are not being decisive nor understanding the severity of their situation. They cling onto false notions that human are inherently good people all the time. Rick explained this well when sitting down with Deanna, it is all about survival. People size you up and instantly understand what they can take from you. This group has been protected the entire time that they know nothing about risk. They know absolutely nothing about the dangers of the people, more so, the dangers of having Rick and the group around them.

We have bare witness to the group falling into several new positions. Instead of Rick and the group finding themselves in a position they must fight to survive, here they are with a group that lack of a better phrase, is the “Allegory of the Cave” to an extent. They know what has happened, but have no clue what has changed around them nor the full scope and danger it brings. They have zero experience with the outside world and know nothing about the dangers. That makes them a danger to themselves and Ricks group. This gets pointed out several times within the episode by Carl, Carol, Glenn, and more so, Rick. Without going too far in depth into the analysis of the past episode, it seems clear that the group is going to have to take the enclosure over if they are going to stay, or else there is too high of a chance for mistakes, errors, and death.

Sneak Peek of Episode 513

The Introduction of Episode 512 Sneak Peek Video Get Blood Pumping

Throughout this point, we have been exposed to many enclosures. None of which have provided security and normality, partially due to the world in the current situation. Every individual living through the apocalypse share post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, or a combination of both. In this sneak peek of the walking dead season 5 episode 12, still there is uneasiness from the group.. which should come as no surprise. Regardless if the containment location is safe, they are dealing with highly volatile personalities and thus in itself deserves hesitance. Within the “enclosure,” Carl seems to be securing a house when he comes into one of the only shut doors within the complex. I do not expect anything behind this door other than elevated blood pressures, but something very important will be revealed and thus why the sneak peek has been presented.
