Norman Reedus reads Romantic Text Messages on Late Night Jimmy Fallon

A few months ago, Norman Reedus went on the Late Night talk show with Jimmy Fallon. He was asked to read some romantic text messages, a pre program that automatically sends messages to your loved one when busy. Mr. Reedus poses and delivers some really good texts.

Evolution of Characters to Season 5 of AMC The Walking Dead

We take a look at what the cast of AMC the walking dead, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln, and many others have to say about their characters going into October 12, 2014 when season 5 begins.

Steven Yeun has grown into this Glenn role where Glenn is forced to make a decision, whether to lay down and roll over or take the lead for his life. Glenn explains how his character has evolved from an individual who didn’t care much about his own safety, rather this new girl. He seemed to be down to do anything. Now, Glenn is more conscious about his decisions taking into account that he now has a wife. In other words, in the beginning of the apocalypse, Glenn was like a freshman in college (down for anything, but didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life). Now, Glenn is a Senior with goals and aspirations (he takes everything seriously and calculates).

Norman Reedus also explains in great detail his characters evolution from season 1. At the present moment, Daryl feels confined in a box (you could say literally). He is a wild animal that has been backed into a corner and we are about to see just what happens when he is backed into a corner. That being said, Daryl doesn’t hold this grudge or chip that he had in the first season. At times, he felt outside the group and thus why we saw Daryl distance himself. He didn’t think he had much to say nor would anyone listen to him. In season 5, Daryl is much more vocal. He understands that now he is much more important and his voice matters. He confronts the issues and is much more there.

Andrew Lincoln explains that in preparation for season 5, he needed a bigger beard. Something that explained that he had age and been through enough shit that he was someone you needed to think twice about. Season 1 Rick Grimes was a character who was used to taking charge. People followed him because he had experience and wore the badge. As time followed, Rick became more and more unsure of himself making those that followed second guess and question him. Now, Rick has seen where his second guessing can lead and his indecisiveness and is not willing to follow any longer. He is going to become this very hard Rick where he tells his son that life is difficult and there are choices you might regret later.

In a recent comic-con clip, Rick talks about the most drastic transformation that has occurred in the show. Carl, has literally grown up on this show and we have seen this actor dynamically change in every conceivable way. This is partially due to the hormones flying in a million directions, but in the last clip, Chandler talks a little about his very own character and the emotional roller coaster he has had to go through.

Below, we have assembled video on each cast member as they talk to the viewers about their characters at the start of the apocalypse verses now.

AMC The Walking Dead – Spoilers and Synopsis

As you all are waiting in anticipation for the walking dead to return, AMC’s writers have been bringing to light certain spoilers and topics of discussion, although intriguing, alludes to the assumption that the show might be coming closer to the end than thought… possibly.

Here is what we know thus far:

Synopsis:

Daryl, Rick and the rest of the group were last found in season 4 captured after meandering into Terminus, thinking that all was fair in love and war. One of the big “light bulbs” that went off in Rick’s head was that, “really no one can be trusted.”

Now, in season 5, the group is together. We know that they will leave terminus while they leave a wake of death in the process. But there will be a cost… who? We don’t know. But thoughts have surfaced that Glenn was the man to go. But many have now thrown that out. We have a savage that won’t give up and we know that the leader will continue to ‘stalk’ the prey. What does that ultimately mean? Will he inevitably start taking out characters one by one?

The groups identity is in question. They haven’t been able to settle down and really grow. In many instances, this could be a very bad reference, in some small cases like the Jews in the desert lost. Unable to really call something theirs or really to start over again. Simply, they are lost and we are looking for this identity once again.

Side Note:

His anger has built, he has removed himself from the recent past, and along with others sick and tired of running into ruthless groups that have already gone over the deepened. Pretty much every group that they have come into contact with has ‘zero’ care for life.

Recently, Daryl’s sexuality has come into question. Robert Kirkman confirmed a month ago that his sexuality had been a topic of discussion, and whether they go forward with that might make for another massive blow. Kirkman is known for breaking hearts. This man is testing the water in almost every conceivable way, trying to take the viewers through a life that no one wants. The great thing about this type of show is that everything is up for grabs, there should be no main character and no set of rules to go by. Kirkman is exploring these waters and showing that shows can be just as dynamic as life. Although viewers want certain endings and certain characters to survive, creating a post-apocalyptic walking dead tv show, ultimately says, that all goes out the window.

Lastly, Kirkman and others have creating a world in which people hold their breaths to find out what’s going to happen next. With 30 million viewers and individuals that love the show, it’s more likely than not, he knows what he is doing. Although people want certain things, they should know that anything is possible and death is at the front door with a pic ax in hand.

The one thing I ask from the AMC executives is let Robert Kirkman and those closely around him do their thing. Just allow the flood gates to open and watch what happens.

The Making of Stunts and Walkers for The Walking Dead Season 5

Like what you have been reading and watching in the past couple of weeks for the new season of the walking dead that returns in October, we take a look inside the stunts for season 5.

This season is much more involved in just about every aspect of the show, more so than the past seasons. There has been a great deal increase in stunts and the use of a more emaciated walker; one that has to look thin and deteriorated than prior. Although the people are dead, the organism is still alive and must thus show the decay.

In the attached clip, Stunt Coordinator Monty Simons delves into how much goes into making a successful stunt routine with the inclusion of all these other factors. One of the hardest things to account for is the walkers and he peels back the layers to reveal to the viewer, just what it takes.

The Walking Dead Season 5 Trailer – Youtube Clip

Recently, amc the walking dead released a vital 1 minute trailer covering the entire season of the show. What is seen is completely shocking. Rick narrates the episode explaining to Carl that no matter what he thinks, he is never safe. From this, we see the brutality of cannibalism, the high speed and close calls from walkers, and the continual chase and manhunt.

What are we to expect? Who was on the table being carved? How much of this will be shown and acted out? Get ready folks, because you all are on a roller coaster ride. A roller coaster ride of emotion.

Breaking Down Season 5 of The Walking Dead Trailer (Contains Spoilers)

We came across a very well put together video created by TrevChan3 or Trevor. Like myself, Trevor dissects episodes and posts his opinions on youtube. Although we talk about episodes and foreshadowing, with the addition of subtle cues that are presented within each episode, we differ in a couple respects. This is mainly why I think after reading this blog, you should get his interpretation. For one, I look at the psychological profile of each character and how they will progress within the show. This is pretty complex because I am looking for the acting to be right on point. I look at behavior as well that helps lead us further down the road into later episodes.

Trevor on the other hand, although touches upon those aspects, he has much more knowledge into the comic books and total framework in general. His explanations are better to listen to because of his detailed knowledge of the entire show. So I believe he also is a great resource to use and you will be able to see what he says about the season 5 trailer below.

Trevor dissects the 90 minutes trailer and adds information that has been flooding the internet. He explains that terminus, stated by Robert Kirkman, is going to be very short. And because it has been confirmed that Gareth, played by Andrew J West, to be a season regular, we know that not only will the group leave terminus soon, but Gareth will be chasing close after. Watch more about what Trevor reveals below:
